Oh my stars! You know I must be looking at one incredible pipe to be quoting the character of Samantha from the 60's sitcom "Bewitched", but the series title would be an apt summation of the effect this pipe has on me, and all who have held it during processing. Hans "Former" Nielsen does precious few acorns, during the years that I have observed his work, and the ones that I have seen before were a bit reminiscent of Lars, sans hints of the organic. The line of this pipe speaks to me of Sixten, but the size of the composition and form of the mount evokes images of Fukuda-san (who studied under Sixten). The vibrant flame grain and birdseye would draw the eye from across a crowded room, and the balance of the bowl to shank and bit further contributes to a sense of harmonious balance.
