About This Pipe
Premier Danish carver Hans 'Former' Nielsen began his career in pipe making at the age of fifteen while doing repairs in Poul Rasmussen's shop. His resume includes also ten years as a carver and then Production Manager at W. O. Larsen where he trained and worked alongside the likes of Teddy Knudsen, Poul Ilsted, Tonni Nielsen, Peter Hedegaard and P.H Vigen. With over 40 years of experience as a carver, Former's pipes are meticulously crafted, perfectly engineered and uniquely beautiful. Here we offer a particularly gorgeous bent Dublin by the carver which, while perfectly balanced and exceptionally light, features a soft sandblast on the black-over-red stain he prefers to employ.
