When was all said and done, it was collectively decided to refer to this Gabriele signature shape as a Volcano. I can see that, but I also see a lot of Cherrywood here. Yet neither title is truly satisfying is it? Gabriele is one of the more naturally inspired carvers out there, taking a fair share of cues from the flora he encounters on his strolls. Right now, I’m trying to picture Gabriele strolling underwater, because the shape and curve of this bowl reminds me of a variety of sponge in the Caribbean. Not only a fine sitter, and sporting handsome horn at the mount, the interior dimensions of the bowl should lend itself quite well to enjoying a tasty flake.
