While I am not certain I see a lion when I look at this shape, I do certainly see some similar tendencies between this pipe and the BIG CAT of big cat's. The shape is aggressive and powerful, with a broad and flowing mane of fiery grain swept back as though it were leaping to the attack, a long curved stem of ebonite that resembles an extended claw and a gaping maw that practically roars to be fed.
I don't think you have anything to fear from this particular lion, as the claw is not so sharp as it is thin and comfortable, the roaring maw not so demanding of meat as it is of good tobacco. Once filled and satisfied, I suspect that this aggressive shape will purr gently as it relaxes in your hand, calm and secure in its place as the King of the Jungle.
