About This Pipe

Of all the shapes that I mentally lumpum, classify into the Danish esoteric category, based on what we have received from Peter Heding thus far, the elephants foot seems to be the one that he most favors (or at least the one that most frequently arrives in our hands, were hardly dealing with rigorously applied statistical gathering models here). Stretching to nearly seven inches in length, this Gold Graded form pretty much follows what most of us have come to think of as the conventional elephants foot template, deviating (in a cool, Heding kind of way) with an increased front convexity to rear concavity ratio that results in a dramatically upturned rim. While there is a generally accepted thinking that beige goes with everything (just ask a realtor) some stains lend themselves to bamboo better than others. Dr. Hedings high contrast bengal not only complements his considerable use of bamboo in this composition to perfection, it maxes out a stunning, underlying grain.
