Someone once told me that the first thing you'll learn on your first day as an engineer is this: 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. That's largely stupid; if inventors weren't constantly tinkering with things, looking to fix what wasn't 'broken', we would be living in the twenty-first century depiction of the Pliocene. But when it comes to a pipe as stalwart and true as a Peter Heeschen Brandy with bamboo, I certainly can't disagree. This is just a timeless, handsome shape of elegant proportions and of a superb hand-feel, and I'm pleased as punch that Peter knows he's got a good thing going here. And that's probably why he continues to produce these wildly popular pipes.
