A very generous bowl and tapered shank team up and become one fantastically friendly briar in the paw. Here we have a sharp interpretation of the Danish neo-classical elongated bent Egg, but executed with a nod towards the proportional play of the American school. The grain on the adroitly shaped shank features fine, tight vertical striations, while the back of the bowl more resembles a subtle lava pattern. Living over three decades in the Sonora desert, Manzanita became one of my trees of the chaparral, imagine my delight in seeing Manzanita employed as an adornment on the mount (and it suits this briar quite well).
