The bowl of this J&J charmer features a compression along the vertical axis, visually anchored by a stout/abbreviated shank, with the latter being smooth and hinting at the beginning of a reverse curl. While the shape is amiable, it wriggles free of any attempt of definitive classification; there’s Apple here, but Brandy wouldn’t be out of the question. Heck, between a subtle reverse curl at the mount and pronounced rise at the fore of the heel, would you think that we had totally lost our marbles, if you saw this titled as a ‘Goldfish?”. Jared and/or John did a right fair sandblast, with ring grain dominating the bowl and sides of the shank, and a pretty birdseye populating the heel. While I wouldn’t go as far as declaring this bent Brandy as adorable, there’s certainly a fine amount of charm in play.
