Call it ‘Juma’, call it ‘Tuskanite”, but also call it (along with Ashtonite) the most comfortable bit material after ebonite. Much like ebonite, Juma has a softer mouth-feel and more ‘give’ than any of the Lucite variations, but unlike the former is not prone to oxidation, containing neither sulfur nor rubber.
Though featuring a wee bit of Dublinesque forward cant to the bowl, as well as a subtlest of expansions from heel-to-rim, this rich J&J presentation is a Pot through-and-through. While (proportionally speaking) the shank is as thick as a Charlie Sheen pre-nup, the bowl size runs fairly ‘according to Hoyle’, given the overall length of the composition. This J&J smooth stain looks mighty good, and pairs in a fine manner with the above mentioned Juma stem.
