The most immediate manner of describing this Kevin Arthur design that comes to my mind, is that it's a hybrid of the high-rimmed, deep-chambered traditional Stack, and a classic French bent Billiard. The lines, flow and posture, as well as the balance of proportions between the tubular cross-sections of bowl and shank, do seem very old-school French, just with a much loftier height and a modern-artisan fit and finish. The result is a fine smoking instrument that benefits from all the improvements in quality brought about by today's competitive artisan pipemaker market, yet still retains firm traditional roots.
