In profile this L'Anatra appears simply as a traditional Italian take on the Canadian shape - i.e. essentially the English classic, but rendered with a considerably more generous bowl. Turning it about in hand however reveals that they have tweaked it elsewhere though, namely by giving it a lenticular shank with a fair bit of extra breadth. Overall it remains a simple shape, and like most simple classic shapes, plenty natural hand, something which is well complemented by the pleasing texture of the contrast-stained rustication.
