Paul Hubartt really puts in the effort to give his Tree bark rustication just the right depth and character of texture, the result being that works as a fine complement even to shapes that don't look like trees themselves. (Paul does indeed make pipes shaped into the likeness of gnarled old trees, we should note.) Of course, it doesn't hurt if the shape his Tree Bark is applied does have something of a naturalistic flare to it nonetheless, as is the case in this proudly trumpeting, plateau-crowned bent Dublin.
