Paul Hubartt seems to have a thing for trees, and more specifically, tree stumps - and the more ancient, imposing, and heavily-rooted, the better. At least, he certainly carves a lot of briars inspired by them, with this particular plateau-crowned and ring-grained Cherrywood standing as a fine example of just how good he's gotten at it.
