Luciano pipes come from Milan, Italy, where Luca di Piazza oversees their production. Many of these pipes are actually worked on by the Radice family, and have been around since 1997.
Some of the designs are a hybrid from Luca and Greg Pease (the Pease / Di Piazza pipes) and are usually smooth, though some can be sandblasted or rusticated. Relatively new to the American scene, these pipes are proving to share Italian design for relatively few American dollars. Each stem has an expertly-cut acrylic bit and turned tenon.
