Certainly if I've seen a pipe which qualifies as a "nose warmer", it is this fat little briar. Much shorter, and it wouldn't have a shank, much chubbier, and it would likely roll off my desk. As it stands, it's a pleasingly rounded pipe, very soothing in hand, and one which actually "sits" surprisingly well, in a weebles-wobble-but-they-won't-fall-down kind of way. The conspicuously plump shaping comes off especially well in a dark finish like this.
