It's pretty obvious these introductory series for the revamping of Luciano's shape and series line-up are something very different for the marque; light, long, and slender stemmed, with style that's clearly Japanese rather than Italian in inspiration. Not everything has changed, however, from what I've seen. I've never spotted a fill on an "old Luciano" briar, and I've yet to see evidence of even one on any of these, either. But then I suppose that's only to be expected, as Luca diPiazza has informed us that these new lines have in fact received a bump up when it comes to the briar used, and are being made only from aged plateau he's personally selected.
