The Blowfish originates with the Danish school, a style wherein soft lines and clean forms often echo the minimalism of the Danish Modern movement. Maigurs Knets works in an approach inspired by the lush beauty of the Art Nouveaux movement, the art of which is every bit as graceful, but contrastingly far more complex. Here, he somehow manages to marry elements of both, producing a clean, beautifully graceful Blowfish shape. It's simpler in form and line than much of his previous work, yet still possessing an underlying floral flavor, something that is particularly evident in both the leaf-edge fineness of the shank's edges, and the bell-shaped cross-section this flourish itself helps create.
