Credit must be given where credit is due: Maigurs Knets is definitely not afraid to put some serious time into just a single design. I mean, how long must it have taken to shape all these lovely, flowing, gently folding Art Nouveaux embellishments out of, of all things, a material as dense and stubborn as briar? And of course, before he even got to that point he probably would have modeled the whole thing out in foam or clay (a technique from his career in the professional model-making industry) to get all the details right before even touching the choice block of briar he'd picked out just for this particular challenge. In other words, making this beautifully complex shape not just once, but multiple times, all just to make sure the final creation was well and properly sublime - as it indeed is.
