"Small Leaf"; it is fairly small, but it's got a lot of "leaf". But that's typically the kind of compositional density I expect from Maigurs - he's simply an artisan that knows how to make one very lush design, and how to do it all with grace. Even in a pipe like this, with a finish dominated by a dark sandblast, there's just so much lovely articulation going on with the lines, planes, and form. And it is a deft touch where he does
use a contrast stain, right down them middle, lending the pipe a warmer visual center, and better defining the flanks as the works of art they are.
