Only the second featherweight "FW" briar we've seen from Mark, this delicate little Pot indeed sports a lightweight design with slightly more emphasis on the shank and stem. The bowl is broad, but shallow - perfect for a bit of folded coin, a pinch of shag, or some traditional Japanese kizami. The briar is quite exceptional in itself earning a solid "one star" on Tinksy's rather tough grading scale. There's plenty of flame leaping up along either flank with a good patch of birdseye along the bottom of the stummel and on top of the rim. It's presented here in a light, contrast stain and accented by a Bocote band at the end of the stem. If you're in the market for a smaller number, this is one of the finer pieces I've come across to date.
