Like many American artisans, Michael Lindner is pretty eclectic in style. One day he might create an extra-stout Pot straight out of the Italian neoclassical style, and the next, well, he might just produce neat little Acorn bowl hitched up to four knuckles of bamboo, working out of the Danish and Japanese playbooks. While such great variation in approach is no doubt refreshing for an artisan, it also means they're tasked with developing and maintaining more skills and techniques, too. But judging by this long-shanked little number, Michael's doing just that, just fine.
