This is one of the most thoroughly "Parks" pipes that I have seen. To me, it embodies many of Michael's signature traits. I have said before that Parks is one of the most adept carvers when working with classic shapes of exaggerated proportions. His sandblasting prowess is widely regarded as one of the world's best.
In this substantial paneled Billiard, we have both a perfectly-proportioned classic shape, and a cross grain sandblast that will put some hair on your chest. How Michael is able to produce a blast of this depth, while keeping the lines so crisp, I may never know. An indication of quality, this briar is actually fairly light. As a smoker who tends to favor modestly-sized chambers, it pleases me that Parks elected to equip this pipe with a chamber that doesn't require the better part of a tin to fill it.
