This fully bent Apple is quite a full and ripe one. The bowl is fat, nearly the size of a real apple. The shank is likewise stout and accented by a thin metal band. The finish is a dark contrasting stain that combines with the briar's grain to create a pleasing dapple effect. The Kinsale series borrows from Peterson's Sherlock Holmes collections, offering the collector edition shapes at a "non-collector's" price. This "XL23" is based on the "Le Strade," named after the Scotland Yard inspector who often called upon Holmes for assistance in difficult cases.
