The Kinsale series draws its shapes from among those used for the Sherlock Holmes series from Peterson. This one, the XL23, corresponds to the Le Strade shape from the 'Return of Sherlock Holmes' series from Peterson. Inspector Le Strade, as we all know, was with Scotland Yard and was featured repeatedly in Conan Doyle's stories. Presented here in the Kinsale Smooth finish, with is colorful bengal orange-brown stain, this pipe features some impressive birdseye on the left side of the bowl and an explosion of radial flame grain extending from a small area of birdseye on the right. Complemented by a twin brass and nickel ring at the end of the shank, along with Peterson's famous P-Lip, this might just be a pipe worth investigating!
