There's something particularly manly about the classic straight Bulldog. There's nothing particularly refined or elegant or classy about the shape. It's always struck me as an appropriate shape for hunting or fishing. And here it's presented in the rusticated Donegal Rocky finish. It is finished off with a bright nickle band at the end of the shank, which does kind of detract from that sense of masculinity, but it does help balance the hearty, masculine shape-finish combination with a touch of class.
