The '230' is a rare find among the pantheon of Peterson shapes, previous examples we've seen coming only from the Kapet series. Balanced wonderfully for resting in the jaw, the smaller Billiard shaped bowl, perhaps a Dunhill group 2 in size, has an incredible sandblast that leaves the briar covered in deep, craggy ring grain that stretches all the way through to the 3/4 bent shank. The sandblast is highlighted through an overlay of dark walnut and tan stains to really define the organic structure of the briar. The uniqueness of the Dublin Silver series is the added bonus of a silver band, supple vulcanite stem, at a price that's a genuine bargain.
