Of all the shapes which originate from the Return of Sherlock Holmes line, the Hansom, or "XL26", is perhaps the biggest stand-out in terms of the Peterson-esque unorthodoxy of its shaping. What we have here is a strange concoction of a tall, narrow Acorn, stout-stemmed Bent Bulldog, and more than a little suggestion of Calabash. Strangely enough, this admixture works rather well, producing a design which is, to say the least, imaginative - and definitely deep of chamber. Here it's presented in a rich combination of a deep-red finish and a bright sterling silver band.
