The Peterson shape "D9", for that matter all of the "D-x" shapes are something of a conundrum for us, as far as the history of the form goes, but one that we seem to be unraveling at a decent pace. The grace of the "D9", as well as its brother, the "D6", suggest that the Ds were originally intended to be limited to Churchwardens. While a novel thought, how could one resist pairing this bowl to a standard sized pipe? "Resistance is futile! It must be assimilated!". On behalf of Peterson lovers in the US, we appreciate the reevaluation.
