About This Pipe
The Kinsale series draws its shapes from among those used for the Sherlock Holmes series from Peterson. This one, the "XL23", corresponds to the Le Strade shape from the 'Return of Sherlock Holmes' series from Peterson. Inspector Le Strade, as we all know, was with Scotland Yard and was featured repeatedly in Conan Doyle's stories. The shape is presented here in the Kinsale Rusticated finish, featuring a carving style that is similar to that found on the Donegal Rocky and System Rustic pipes. Complemented by a twin brass and nickel ring at the end of the shank, this might just be a pipe worth investigating!
