About This Pipe
Selecting the finest cuts of briar, Peterson creates the "Deluxe System" with utmost scrutiny selecting sterling silver for the mount and soft vulcanite for the stems. What stands out most for this "8S" is the grain. It's pretty wild, but there's lots of fine birdseye and a band of flame/cross grain that winds from the shank up along the left flank of the bowl. Cap this off with the P-Lip for the button to curb tongue bite and there was little left to do but add a fine coat of gloss to complete one stellar briar.
