About This Pipe
The shapes used for the Kinsale series correspond to shapes first designed by Peterson for the Sherlock Holmes series, which debuted in 1987. Given the extraordinary popularity of the series and these shapes, Peterson opted to make them available as the Kinsale series, which is considerably less expensive than the Sherlock Holmes series. This, the "XL21", corresponds to the Hudson from the 'Return of Sherlock Holmes' series of pipes. Hudson was, of course, Holmes' house keeper and a significant character throughout Conan Doyle's Holmes stories.
