A well-shaped bent Brandy has a broad, crossover appeal that seems to create an attraction, even in some collectors who tend to stick with straight shapes. When the discussion turns to the perfect
bent Brandy, based on my observations, “some collectors” becomes “almost all collectors”. While it might just be a personal quirk, I can’t hold this Pohlmann and possibly fathom anyone intoning, “Ehhh... not for me”, can you?
The sphere of the bowl is rounded, full to the point of bordering on the Rubenesque, and so generously proportioned that my thumb and index finger find a bit of space between them in a relaxed grip. Brad’s sandblasting has long been world class; even so, I find the grain bordering somewhere between spectacular and incredulous. Brad couldn’t have finished this bombshell in a finer manner than that beautiful stem (and don’t even get me started on the impeccable slotting).
