About This Pipe
By compressing this brandy bowl a tad toward thin and long, American artist Brad Pohlmann creates a pipe that is compositionally dominated by the bowl from the side view (34% of the length is made up by the bowl), and yet pretty close to "the book" from the front view and smoker's perspective. The bowl and shank feature a lovely mixed palate of straight and flame grain, all popped into nice relief by a rich bengal stain.
