About This Pipe
It's true that this is a nicely shaped bent egg. There are some nice transitions and the piece is well proportioned, particularly for its size. But what's most admirable about this pipe is its sandblast! The surface of this thing is about as detailed as a high resolution satellite photograph of the Martian landscape. With canyons, valleys, craters and cliffs to behold, this briar's exterior is as interesting as any marbled birdseye or comb of straight grain. While we might be indebted to the wood for such a blessing, really let's be thankful for Brad Pohlmann's decision to eschew mediocrity in search of the fantastic.
