To the best of my knowledge, Radice is, as of yet, the first Italian marque to jump on board with the reverse Calabash craze... and I'm not the least bit surprised. Luigi Radice, the family marque's patriarch, has long shown a tendency towards some very unusual concepts. (From what I've read, his sons actually have to keep a close eye on their "old man", just to make sure he isn't discretely sneaking a bunch of multi-bowled Billiards, or some other smoking instrument oddity, into production behind their backs.) Well, the playfully stout, muscular shape may be unusual, but with its immensely deep tobacco chamber, and roomy cooling chamber, I would expect it to provide one cool, smooth, and very, very long smoke. The thoroughly ring-grained, the virgin sandblast finish doesn't hurt things any, either, as far as attractive qualities go.
