Having heard of Luigi Radice's sons being in the habit of keeping a close eye on their father, to make sure he doesn't make anything too
crazy out of briar while their backs are turned, seeing a shape like this, I tend to just assume it was his doing. This is, as best as I can come up with, a Scoop. But it's a Scoop elongated and flattened dramatically, and bearing a central ridge or fin of natural plateau. The Danes may have given us the Blowfish, but here I'd say the Radices have given us the Barracuda.
