Luigi Radice got his start as an artisan at Castello, and even all these decades later you will still see him and his sons turning out shapes, here and there, with a recognizable Castello influence. This Silk Cut Bulldog is one such pipe, sporting very "Castello" bold, firm lines up front, albeit in shape whose overall proportions are more "Radice". Curiously, the taper of the shank and stem follow a pattern usually seen only on Castello's long-shanked, short-stemmed shapes (Canadians, Liverpools, etc.), with the stem's shaping presenting a pronounced downward slope.
