New!  Radice: Rind Aero Reverse Calabash Bent Billiard

Product Number: 002-030-2134

Michail Revyagin appears to be the artisan who started it, with a freehand he called the "Bee", followed shortly thereafter by the minimalist interpretations of Rolando Negoita's "Conductas" and Tom Eltang's similarly styled adaptions of his pre-existing "Tubos" shape. Now the still-growing list of artisans who've created reverse-Calabash designs adapted to suit their own particular artistic style ranges from Maigurs Knets to Kei Gotoh. As of yet, though, from what I've seen the Radices are the first Italian pipemakers to give it a go. And when I say "the Radices", who I'm really thinking of is Luigi Radice - despite being the patriarch of the family workshop, he is, ironically, also the one most inclined to take some completely unorthodox idea or another, and see if he can make a pipe out of it.

Well, whichever member of the Radice clan may have been responsible, they succeeded, with one result being this playfully proportioned, compact handful of briar, engineered to provide a smoke that's as cool and dry as can be. And pretty long, too, judging by the extreme depth of chamber that's provided.
