Imagine about seven of Luigi Radice's full-bodied, stoutly proportioned Italian pipes. Now imagine they were one pipe, combined. That's pretty much what you're getting into with this ridiculously immense mountain of briar. As a pipemaker, it really is something of a sacrifice to meet the demand for briars of such immense magnitude; the block from which this single piece was fashioned could have been used to make several smaller pipes of similar price. Pay off, of course, is keeping those of you who favor such monsters happy.
