Although labeled here as a Freehand, the overall aesthetic is a uniquely Randy Wiley interpretation of the bent Dublin. While the shaping is masterful (especially with a spur and bold lines leading into the transition), what's truly amazing about this piece is the Wiley's treatment of the briar's natural beauty. In warm, contrast finish, we see not only an abundance of flame grain and birdseye, but there's ring grain as well! Topped off with a plateau rim and shank end and one of Randy's unique twisted stems, it's a remarkable fusion of natural and modern aesthetics.
