The bowl of this Patina Freehand is not unusual for Mr. Wiley and displays the kind of quality flame grain that is certainly typical of the series. Things get (even more) interesting as the oval shank begins to twist to the right, but immediatley following the saddle, the stem takes a sharp twist in the other direction. It is a unique departure from the more-popular "spiral" shank. Oh, I almost forgot: it passes a cleaner effortlessly.
