Randy Wiley: Galleon Bent Dublin (55)

Product Number: 002-093-1828

Randy Wiley's Dublin shapes have always shared a certain likeness to traditional Acorn forms. We see that similarity less pronounced here in this masculine number, however. While it does sport a nice, well-defined taper, it lacks the sharp heel that define most of his renditions. Instead, we find a smooth, delicate curve rounding out the base and lending the transition a bit of added girth. If this were an Acorn, it would be a rather large one — with Randy's signature wide rim polished smooth to reveal a stunning display of birdseye. It's finished in a dark sandblast with a bit of smokey-stained briar to accent at the shank end for perfect touch to an already handsome composition.
