About This Pipe
Given the panel's origins as a quick-fix for botched mass-production pipes, it's interesting to see what a skilled artisan such as Randy Wiley can do when free-handing in this age-old theme. The result is a delightful blend of the symmetrical and the organic, the smoothly machined plane and the ruggedly natural plateau. The finish is fittingly warm and well-contrasted, and the stem a smooth melding of graceful spiral to precisely formed button.
