A great sweeping mass of flame grain, this Rasmussen is notable for how plays subtly with fluted, crested edges (which often play a strong part in Rasmussen designs), emphasizing instead sheer momentum of substance and grand stature. The bowl of course is where most of this mass is concentrated, i.e. up front, though the shank's broad-flanked design and powerful arc play a key role in backing it all up. Meanwhile, broad displays of dark-finished, craggy plateau crowning both rim and the shank-end's flare work deftly to accentuate the aforementioned mass's presence and lively style alike.
