Though certainly a distinct shape in its own right, Rolando Negoita's "Walnut" does appear to take some influence from the Elephants Foot, displaying an emphasis on the forward and rear faces of the bowl via a dividing ridge (a fluted one, in the case of the Walnut). The design may be artistic, but it does retain a natural fit in hand, and indeed the prominent central ridge if anything makes the pipe more easy to shift and rotate about - of course, an ultra-light bamboo stem, secured to the briar by a medical-grade stainless steel insert, doesn't hurt any either.
