Carved Walnut with Bamboo

Product Number: 002-298-0200

As light and slender as the quill of a feather, Rolando Negoita here presents us with one positively ethereal rendition of his Walnut theme, which is defined not so much by shaping (although they do typically bear a bowl-form similar to some manner of nut), but by his signature, exceptionally organic style of finish. Amongst the countless little hand-carved seams and crags, ring grain remains evident, so we know that sandblasting is part of this finishing process, but truth be told, the results are as rule even more naturalistic in their aesthetic than the vast majority of actual, straight-on sandblasts out there. I guess it's little wonder, then, that these are considered to be amongst Rolando's most desirable pieces, as there is quite simply nothing else out there like them.
