At this point in the game the list of artisans who've created reverse-Calabashes is pretty long, and getting longer by the day. Rolando Negoita was one of the very earliest adopters of this innovative and iconoclastic approach to engineering, along with Tom Eltang and the inventor himself, Michail Revyagin. Suffice to say, the fact that this concept has taken off the way it has speaks something about both its effectiveness, and about the works which first introduced it to so many. Rolando's own have tended to focus on adapting the classic shapes to make use of the extra-broad cooling/condensation chamber shanks... and it may be that it's with a wink and a nod that he here presents with, yes, a reverse-Calabash Calabash. The funny thing is, it hasn't been until just now, as I'm seeing one for the first time, that it's occurred to me that the Calabash shape actually takes very naturally to the reverse-Calabash form.
