Long dormant, hibernating over six years since last spotted on this site, two of Rolando's rare Exoskeletons have reemerged, both having made use of time and stored energy to metamorphose, evolve... become Conductas.
As far as we know, Rolando never went as far as actually naming this shape an Exoskeleton - we took that liberty when we first encountered it in 2008 - and, as far a literary license runs, we don't feel the title was much of a stretch. Everyone who has seen this shape has agreed on at least two points: 1. It's as cool and imaginative as it gets. 2. It looks like an articulated joint of a crab, spider, grasshopper, lobster... the one unifying point of the preceding being that they all have — well, exoskeletons.
Within this fascinating product of Rolando's imagination, you will find a reverse-Calabash secreted within the shank, a bit of engineering which elevates the cool & dry aspects of a smoke to the next level. On the outside you have a beautifully balanced and intriguing shape (a form highly unlikely to have already been acquired by a friend - this one is quite rare), and one blessed with outstanding grain. As a possible bonus, ownership of this fine Negoita composition might (might) lower any flying insect problems around your home.
