In recent years we've seen artisan pipemakers experimenting with a variation of the "cooling chamber" mechanic traditionally associated with the gourd Calabash. The "Conducta" is Rolando Negoita's entry into this competition to produce a combination of the coolest, smoothest smoke possible, and a new and modern aesthetic. He doesn't fool around trying to minimalism the visual effect of an extra-fat shank, but rather embraces it and the new approach to form and balance entailed, as we can see very clearly in this deep-chambered Oom Paul jaw-hanger.
Each of Rolando's "Conducta" pipes comes with its own tamper, featuring a clothes-pin like notch on one end - quite useful for holding a piece of paper towel or patch-cloth when it comes time to clean the shank's expansive cooling chamber.
