New Pipes: Rolando Negoita: Partially Rusticated Amphora with Silver Band

Product Number: 002-298-0152

An amphora is a type of ceramic vase distinguishable for having a long, slender neck narrower than that of its body. Its use varied between those purposes practical and utilitarian to those social as well as ceremonial. Often of high quality and handsomely decorated, it is from the amphora that this pipe by Rolando Negoita derives its name. From the tapered base to the broad midsection to the highly articulate and carefully shaped lip, this composition is suitably named. To add to the overall elegance and sense of craftsmanship of the piece, the pipe maker has added an etched silver band reminiscent of antiquity. This is the kind of pipe that only Rolando makes.
